Season Change

Current Temperature: 55, Today's High: 74, Today's Low: 35

You can tell in Colorago when a season changes, cause boy does it change.  It's September! One can determine using almost all of their senses.  The air smells fresh along with the scent of the pine trees.  You can hear the sound of the morning wind swirling around you.  Its amazing to see the packs of birds on their quest to find warmth.
Our family has definitely had a season change.  Although the change has been welcoming and warm feeling, we still are missing our "home".  Colorado will soon become home the more we are here, but change takes time.  I think that's why we have seasons that have duration (3 months or longer) cause change takes time to adjust, get use to, to become acclimated, and begin to finally enjoy. Along with the change of moving, Nick and I have decided to be a part of a church plant.  We are very excited to be involved with Harvest Denver church.  It's exciting for me, being in ministry, to see a church begin from the ground up.  Currently, we are in launch team meetings and plan to open the church by November 1st.  Lots of work to be done and a lot of praying.  I am on pins and needles to see where the Lord is going to use my gifts and talents for Him.  I am excited to see where He will lead Nick and our family.  Our Pastor reminds me so much of dad.  He's real, down to earth, an enthusiastic teacher, provides application that seems as if he was talking straight to you, and a great team player.  Currently, I am helping out with the elementary (1st-6th) and enjoying the time I get to engage in my passion.  I rotate with another mom so that I can be with Nick in the meetings as well.  We are beginning to get connected with some of the other families. God is good!  I am blown away by the many God stories of the other team members and how they came to Colorado and specifically to be a part of the church plant.  Most of the stories are like ours.  God opens the door and we faithfully follow, even if its the hardest obedient decision made.  This church is connected to my Uncles church in Peoria, Illinois.  So, I feel blessed to know that.  I'll keep you updated as we continue.  If you would be in prayer for us and to continue to lean on the Lord's direction.

Love you all

  2. Heathe and Nick, so excited for you and how God is walking with you through this major life transition...He is so faithful! Also excited that Harvest Denver may be the church home you're looking for...a lot of work with a church plant, but the incredible blessing and excitement to see a church birthed and to be a part of that is awesome.

    Love, Kent and Becky
